Jackson Hole Wyoming

The town of Jackson has a lot going for it. This is why it is such a popular tourist destination for thousands each year. It sits at an elevation of 6,200 feet and has a full time residence of about 8,000. It's close proximity to the many National Parks and Forests give Jackson an advantage when it comes to finding a destination that has something for everyone. There are 3 Alpine Ski areas within the town or just a short drive from town. The snake river winds 120 miles through the valley allowing for all types of summer activities. The Grand Teton National Park and Yellowstone National Park are within an hours drive of Jackson. The town has a laid back atmosphere with lots of great shops and friendly locals. Jackson also has a one of a kind town square park that includes 4 huge elk horn arches (taken from shed antlers, not kill, of course) that must be seen to be appreciated.
